Somewhere betwixt the majestic broad landscapes and intimate macro photography, lies the “midscapes” as I call them. Elements in nature that aren’t quite panoramic enough to awe or detailed and patterned enough for macro photographs. With the use of a magnifying glass, I sought to isolate mid distance elements of nature that get lost in the typical full frame of a scene while still paying homage to the broader scene by keeping it, out of focus though it is.
